Spellbinders Birthday Baby Tutorial

Hello friends, thank you for stopping by!  Today I am sharing a tutorial for Spellbinders using the Little Loves Collection by Licensed Designer Sharyn Sowell.  Sharyn's Dies are always inspiring - the original being hand cut using scissors - an amazing skill in itself.  Sharyn is a very accomplished artist and you can read a little about her HERE


'Shapeabilities Baby's Birthday Etched Dies Little Loves by Sharyn Sowell is a silhouette of a child in a high chair, enjoying a birthday treat. Little Loves Collection by Sharyn Sowell is full of moments captured in the eyes of little ones as they experience the wonders of life and first milestones.' - Spellbinders


1. Cut/emboss one Baby's Birthday Etched Die using white card stock.
2.Cut a 6cm strip of patterned paper 'B' side; adhere it across the main side.
3. Cut/emboss one Emmeline Treillage Etched Dies border only using the layered patterned paper,


4. Cut/emboss the smallest circle from the Scored and Pierced Circles using white card stock.
5. Use the Die as a stencil, sponging inside the cutting lines using Dandelion inks and a Sponge Dauber.  Remove from the Die.
6. Pop up onto the top right corner of the card front using 3D Foam Squares.
7. Cut/emboss the number one using pink card stock and glue to the circle..


8. Glue the Pink Pompom trim along the lower edge of contracting patterned paper.
9. Adhere the Baby's Birthday Die cut to the left side of the patterned paper using double sided tape.
10. Sponge around the candle using Dandelion Ink and a Sponge Dauber.  
11. Colour the cupcake using markers.
12. Trim the sentiment, adding a Dove Tail on the right end, layer onto pink card stock.
13. Pop up with a curve from the image and along the top line of the contrasting patterned paper.
14. Randomly add Yellow Enamel Dots to the card front
15. Add Pico Embellisher dots near each Enamel Dot.
